Live Thread: Cavs @ Hornets (#BuzzOff)

The Cavs are on the road to finish a long, strange trip tonight against the Charlotte Hornets. Given how they’ve played defense lately (or not as the case may be), they might want to bring some of this with them to the contest. Charlotte is yet another team fighting for it’s playoff life (they’re currently 2.5 games behind the Heat for the 8th spot in the EC), and they’ve won their last three in a row to climb back into contention. The Cavs are coming off a disappointing loss in Denver, and have just a 5-7 record in the month of March. Some good news… Kevin Love has been cleared to play in back to backs now, and the Cavs have also recalled Larry Sanders from Canton for some potential additional help in the paint.
Cavs probable starting lineup: LeBron James, Kevin Love, Tristan Thompson, J.R. Smith, Kyrie Irving.
Hornets probable starting lineup: Kemba Walker, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Marvin Williams, Cody Zeller, Nicholas Batum.
Prediction: The Cavs spray the ball around from deep, and get back to their winning ways as they swat some flying pests, 113-109.

Tonight the Cavs played well IMO but then again it was LeBron beasting again. The defense was better (no Frye maybe helped on that matter) but not playoffs level yet.
2 things that worry me a little bit ;
Tristan’s defense has been really poor lately. Opposing guards are attacking him and he hasn’t been able to stop them .
I’m not sure that Frye will be a factor for the Cavs. He is such a huge liability defensively.
If the Cavs are going to rest LeBron then they should sit Kyrie and KLove too IMO.
Let the bench handle the Wizards. If the Cavs beat the Celtics they will gain not only 1 game in the lost column, they will also get the advantage if they end up tie.
Delly +16 as the Bucks beat the Hawks. Dunleavy -15 for Atlanta. Both a fair representation of what we saw from them in Cleveland.
Dellys been terrible all year. So far the Bucks are much better with him off the court

Neither Kyrie nor LeBron at all interested in getting back on defense. Bailed out by highly contested shots from JR and Love.
