January and March really sucked.
January cause of Lebron.
March cause of Kyrie and his pitiful defense that seemed to be pervade the entire team.
April, you mean everything.
Spurs tonight. Should be a fun game!
“We’ve got to hold back. We can’t show our hand early because …
these are some good teams and we don’t want them to be able to come into a (playoff) series and be able to adjust to what we do,” Lue said, per Cleveland.com. “We just have to be able to play our normal defense until we get there and then we will see what happens.”
Ya, we’ve seen the quote. Like I said, apparently the organization is trying to keep everything under wraps until the playoffs. Eventually the toll will be paid though, and they will have to show results. We will find out in a few weeks…
But, what do you think is he holding back for playoffs ? Larry Sanders ??
Well, while I’m not exactly “hopeful”, if you watch the Cavs play defense, they basically don’t run any defense other than “switch everything and hope for the best.” In the past few games I have noticed that they trap the ball handler on occasion, but it is rare. I’m not sure, but for the entire month of march, we have been running the most basic offenses and defenses in basketball and relying solely on the immense talent of our players. We’ll see I guess. For all I know, they will break out some Boeheim zones… your guess is as good… Read more »
Lue calling the March defense, #30 in the association as ‘norma’, is interesting.
Hopefully his cognitive processes…..?
Cavs at Spurs would be a test for Cavs. If Cavs want to check where they stand in pecking order of contenders, they will take this game seriously and give their best. Spurs would be a great test for any team, especially on defensive end.
Horrifying admission – I’m friends with someone who knows the Kardashians. She tells me that Khloe is a bit miffed with TT because he now has TWO baby mamas in progress. If TT has impregnated two women PLUS any residual Kar-Trashian influence… could that be part of TT’s under-achieving?
lol, Kardishians does have influence on NBA for some time.
James Harden broke the Kardashian Kurse!!!!
Apparently the entire Cavs organization is trying to give the league a false sense of security heading into the playoffs… not fun to watch. Fingers crossed they can still get it done. Said this Saturday night, if we don’t make the finals, Lue doesn’t deserve to remain coach. On the other hand, I am so tired of this merry-go-round of coaches.
There is no way Gilbert tolerates anything but a finals appearance with this payroll. And if they don’t win it all, I expect major leadership changes (Griffin at the very least).
Lue is not doing a particularly good job so far this year. We see plenty of coaches doing a better job with less talent.
But Griffin has done a great job. What possible better move could he have made? We see 29 other GM’s doing much less with many more assets.
The fact that Lue does not appear to know what to do with some of the players is not Griffin’s fault. Gilbert already has the best GM, and will not be firing him.
Even if Cavs don’t win championship, Lue would have delivered one championship in two years plus it is not like a great coach is available. Lue will stay, IMO.
“Breads the hunger inside us” should be a meme.
Eric moreland for james jones (waiver) and larry sander.tyron. lue. Wrong. Manager is too short for twin tower
