Live Thread: Cavs @ Spurs
2017-03-27The #Cavs can't get healthy. Iman Shumpert (knee) is out tonight and Kyle Korver (foot) is out for the next 3 games. The injuries never end.

It’s definitely a bummer about Korver’s foot. It’s probably something that we’ll have to monitor throughout the postseason. Windy warned us that Korver “wasn’t moving well” a week or so ago, and it sounds as if that was an ominous portent. And as much as we complain about Iman sometimes, the Cavs sure missed him last game.
On the other side, Parker and Danny Green are expected to play for the Spurs and LaMarcus Aldridge has returned from his irregular heartbeat scare, which means the Spurs are at full strength. It will take 48 minutes of focus, intelligence, and execution on both sides of the ball to beat one of the best teams in the West, and with the Spurs just 2.5 games behind the Dubs for the Western Conference lead, both teams have plenty to play for.
Did I mention the Spurs have MVP candidate and the best two way player in the league, Kawhi Leonard? Saddle up, pardners, cause this is going to be a wild ride.
Prediction: Lue dusts off Liggins, Kyrie goes off for 45+, and the Cavs win a squeaker to keep the Spurs from jingling and jangling.
This is the first time all season I’ve thought that they’re not going to win the title. They just can’t get themselves to care. They were mad last year. Not always, playing well, not always giving full effort, but they had a fire burning. They wanted it bad. This team? This year’s team doesn’t come back from 3-1. TT needs to shut it down for week. I don’t care about his stupid streak. He’s gassed and he’s going to be gassed in the playoffs if he doesn’t rest now. Throw Sanders into the fire and let him learn. If we’re… Read more »
Very good points. AND, it makes me realize something. As you probably know, early today LeBron launched a tweet storm, primarily about how young kids today just walk away from a demanding coach as opposed to putting in the work to be a winner. I BET THAT WAS DIRECTED AT THE CAVS! Unfortunately, the message has not sunk in yet. I am pretty worried. What part is being lazy, and what part is being too old, always slow, etc? Last year, the D was much better. JR and Imam were all over the Warrior’s guards, and LeBron put on the… Read more »
Can anyone post a plot of the Cavs’ three point percentage by game, over the season? Weren’t they setting all time records a couple months ago? Maybe they can get Mark Price to take Kyle Korver’s place.
I wonder if the “Small Ball” era is over. It seems Pops never got the memo about it starting, and kept on stocking bigs, like he has for decades. BTW, who has the best overall record during Pop’s reign?
It has to be the Spurs. They have have only won less than 50 games twice in 21 years and both times were during the lockout years in which they would have been on pace for 50 wins during a full length season. The dude’s win percentage is 696%.
It’s been a while since the Cavs had an impressive win. Maybe against the Thunder in late January?
Can’t honestly remember a really memorable win against a healthy really good team after that. We look old, slow, confused on d, inattentive on d, uninterested when we run into any adversity, and generally like pretenders.
Andrew Miller on, for anyone who wants to see Cleveland on the good side of a dominating performance.
I love that Lisa Leslie is taller than a lot of the players.Especially in heels, I’m sure.
cavs won’t make it past second round
I wondered earlier if Vegas still keeps them as the betting favorite in the East?
Shawn Armstrong just struck out Kyle Schwarber to end a scoring threat… Tribe up 4-3 in the seventh…
And Joe Buck can’t believe it
