Live Thread: Cavs vs. Nets
2017-10-25Tonight is the second night of a back to back. History shows us that the Cavs turn into zombies on the court in these situations. Halloween isn’t quite here yet, but the team seems to be a bit too old for bodies to rebound quickly enough to handle the strain. Unfortunately, this game counts for double as Cleveland looks to help increase the value of their most recent trade/draft asset in the unprotected 2018 Brooklyn Nets first round pick.
So far, the Nets have comported themselves quite well with a 2-2 record. Every win they notch correlates to a decrease in value of that pick. The Cavaliers need to come out of the gate strong tonight to ensure their success on both fronts. Luckily, the Nets will be without starting guard D’Angelo Russell. It’s a good thing too because the Cavs are already thin at the guard position. Rose is out still and their de facto back up, Dwayne Wade, is out with a knee bruise.
The second night of a back to back will likely make this game a lot closer than it should be. Regardless, the Cavs should still have no issues dispatching this less than established Nets team. Hopefully they can avoid turning this into Night of the Living Dead. Go Cavs!
Anyone know why Crowder did not play much last night?
