Mark and I discussed Isaiah Thomas’ return, the Cavs roster compared to last season, how much the Cavs should fear the Celtics, and more.
If we make a trade, let us get rid of the “defensive” guys who do not really help the D: TT & Shump. If anyone wants them.
so do we go sign Bogut again and see if he stays healthy / it can work out this year
I doubt it, unless the Cavs make a trade first…
but he isn’t getting that so called 4th pick—Celtics are –correct —so why tank if it is not going to benefit you
agree Jason —still a long season yet—think once the lakers get healthy—they will get some wins —-it is not like they are “tanking ” for a draft pick—–magic does not like to lose –wants to change the culture
Ahh maybe. Magic knows he needs more talent to compete against the best on the West. Maybe P. George goes there after the season with OKC, but even then that only places them that places them at a 4+ standing. They’ll need cheap talent and what better way to get that than the draft?
The Lakers (Philly/Boston) & the Nets (Cavs) are the two lottery teams that don’t own their own picks. No tanking for either.
Boston looks to be tanking tonight to keep the Nets pick from being worth more.
Nets on a hot streak lately, and the Lakers have crashed with Ball & Lopez out. Let us not panic yet.
The real difference between the Cavs & Celts is the coaches, not the GMs.
kyrie’s so called “sudden maturity —-team before stats “– IS SO SICKENING !!!!——-meaning he was a total fraud while he was here ——know we are probably getting “hosed ” in the kyrie trade but the more you read / watch this clown the ——I am glad he is gone—–yes wish we have gotten more !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Could not agree more Nomad. That outrageous offensive talent covered for a lot of flaws, on and off the court. You only have to compare his & IT’s interviews to see the gap in character.
Very much woke.
unless Kolby thought a lot more of the lakers chance to succeed / win than the nets —have to admit the nets were expected by everyone to be dismal this year and the lakers with magic back in the helm / Ball drafted and a lot of talent (albeit ) young players –lakers looked potentially to have better record than the nets—season still relatively young season
Currently the Cavs projected to get the 8th pick w/Nets pick & Celtics to get 4th w/Lakers. Not insisting on better of these in Irving trade another gigantic whiff by Altman.
Yeah, at the least he should have made Danny do that…if Danny didn’t like it, too bad, screw him…
Ainge hosed the Nets and now the Cavs. Looking forward to years of IT as our only star in Cleveland, well regular season star with a bad hip.
just watched a few minutes of the canton charge ( fully understand it is G league ) but ‘” ZZ’S ” footwork / post moves are far superior to T.T.’S —-JUST SAYING —-
You’re right Nomad, they are. I’m still baffled by Lue’s inability to not playing Zz more when TT was out
I dont know if this would even be officially possible but any thoughts on sending TT/Shump to the Pistons for Marjanovic?
I know his defense against quicker C’s is an issue, but I think that has more to do with team communication/movements than his own deficiencies. Plus, dude can score.
I actually find him tragically underutilised there. However, again, why would Detroit want either of those guys?
I forgot he was in the NBA. I really only remember him as a Spur.
Oh I have no clue that Detroit would even consider it, I’m just trying to find a way to get rid of both TT and Shump. I mean, we can sweeten the deal with Rose ;)
That might make the deal a little too sweet for Detroit…

Apparently cLueless didn’t get the memo.
There could be a reverse causality issue there. Channing Frye plays in games that we were already going to win. He doesn’t play much when the game is tight. Just an alternative hypothesis. Nothing to bash Frye. He shot lights out in the playoffs last year – and I don’t understand why we don’t see him a little more to see what he can do.
Not sure I agree with that hypothesis. When TT was injured Frye got his minutes. Those games weren’t predetermined.
When he does not play a lot, TT does.
I will reserve final judgement until IT starts some games, but I am leaning towards trading TT (if anyone will take him).
