Podcap: Cavs 126, Raptors 101 & Cavs 99, Sixers 106 (or, Two-fer Tuesday, Part Two)
2019-03-12Yes, you’ll get double your pleasure on this podcap, as we celebrate the Sunday Cavs victory against the Toronto Raptors… and the very close loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on the second night of a back-to-back. The Cavs gave the Raptors everything they could handle (and more) the night before, and though they dug themselves a hole against the Sixers, fought back until the end… even though they were woefully shorthanded.
Nate and EG pulled some double duty in the booth, recapping both contests and highlighting the action. We cover the steady growth and improvement of the youngsters, the impact of Kevin Love, and the general camaraderie and inherent likability of this current incarnation of the squad. We also kick off the pod with a quick foray into the big Tuesday the crosstown Browns had for themselves, and end it as always with some pitches on new entertaining movies and music you might want to investigate.
As always, check us out below, on Anchor.fm, Apple Podcasts, Google Play.

Regarding the draft, Hachimura is rated by people who have watched him way more than I have as a defensive zero. Like maybe the worst defensive player in the draft. I’d take him with the Rockets’ pick, that’s it. Same with Bol Bol – I’d take a flyer on him in the ’20s…he’ll be a good player, maybe very good, if he can stay healthy, but I have little confidence in that.
Great pod…enjoyed it.
Guys, I absolutely LOVE the KLove Love in this podcast. Too many loves? Eh, whatever. Agree with the praise.
Caught the last Q – Philly looked bored and lethargic. Think Cavs played great, but Philly still won. But all good for Cavs – fought well, but no negative draft implications, no apparent injuries. As you said EG: exactly the kind of game we wanna see from our young Cavs.
Only 14 dimes vs Philly. That was our demise. Still had a shot to win at the end. I’d have gone for a 3 on the road and 2nd night of a b2b.
Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats absolutely rocks! Great live band. Saw them at Nautica Pavilion last year.
