Drawings from the Notebook of Chris Grant (episode six)
2011-06-26Hello everyone! Just a reminder…read Kevin’s great post below that I am inadvertently covering up.
This is the first in a series of works I’d like to call: “A glimpse at the Cavalier rookies, through poetry.”
Enjoy.
Nice work. I for one, like variety. Obviously you can’t do a full blown analysis of a player/game/trade with a poem, or can you… I find that I keep checking this site, ESPN and other sites every couple of hours or so looking for a link about a Cavs trade/use of the TPE. I know it has to happen soon (I don’t believe we’ll let it go to waste) so it will be interesting to see what the writers of this blog (all of you guys, not just JK) think about the move once we make it. If you add… Read more »
It was definitely different but overall, I liked it.
Keep it up!
(Also, truth be told and now totally seriously, I think this is a little bit of a test run. I’m hoping there’s a niche to be carved via a Sunday cartoon-type of thing, but we’ll see. I certainly agree that the heart of this blog will always be JK going a bit deeper than any of the non-Cavalier sites can…I’m humbly shooting for the cherry on the Sundae and/or a place on my aforementioned mom’s refrigerator.)
Not that I don’t agree with you Mike—I like the hardcore JK analysis of the Cavs as well—but I asked my mom and she said Tyler’s right.
Haters gonna HATE
Pretty corny. I mean, as far as poems go, it’s fine I guess, but who goes to sports blogs to read poetry?
You guys seem like nice enough guys, but this site was better when it was all Krolik’s stuff. I used to read this site for smart, funny, and sometimes sarcastic analysis of the Cavs. Not corny, sentimental stuff like this.
“A Glimpse of the Cavaliers Rookies through Poetry” sounds like a pretty weak idea.
Great piece. Reminded me of Krolik’s “The Giving Z” awhile back. Keep ’em comin! :)
