The Cavs handed the Rockets their ninth straight loss tonight going 16-36 from 3-land. The Cavs looked dominant at times when they were playing in transition and letting the ball fly every chance they got from behind the arc.

Jarrett Allen had an absolute monster showing getting 26 points on 10-11 shooting to go with 18 boards. The Cavs were getting him the ball in the post like he was some form of center from 1999. He even blocked four shots. Collin Sexton had 23 points and three assists. Darius Garland had 11 points and went 3-11 from deep, but he hit all three of his 3s in a row during the 3rd quarter to help the Cavs outscore the Rockets by ten.

Dylan Winder hit 4-4 from deep for 12 points. He is now 9-9 in the past two games. I’ve heard he is planning to rip off a 100-100 3-ball net stroking session in the next 20 games.

John Wall and Victor Oladipo combined to go 15-38 for 37 points along with seven rebounds and eight assists. Daniel House Jr. had 14 points and tried to dunk the ball a bunch, which was admirable. The Rockets offense of do whatever and drive a ton just couldn’t get it done tonight. The Cavs held them to 40% from the floor.

David Wood and Nate Smith dared enter the realm of the podcast booth to talk about the Cavs and a variety of other topics. They hit on why the Cavs need to just let it rip from deep, how great Dylan Windler (the South Paw Ginger Kyle Korver) is, Isaac Okoro, how the Cavs are great at post entry passes, who deserves to be in the All-Star game, why Sexton doesn’t need to think as much, why Trae Young is the absolute worst, MVP choices, coach of the year, and a ton of other fun topics.

This pod does have a little bit of R-Rated language in it, and Trae Young’s shenanigans are to blame.
