2021-10-25Coming off an impressive win against the contending Atlanta Hawks, our Cleveland Cavaliers visit the offense-happy Denver Nuggets and incumbent MVP Nikola Jokic on the start of a brutal West Coast trip that will pit them against the cream of the crop in the Western Conference. The Cavs will look to build on their hot offensive start (13th in the league in offensive rating, per Cleaning The Glass), and staunch the bleeding on defense (27th in the league).
The good news is that Darius Garland is back, per the official Cleveland Cavaliers Twitter account. Dylan Windler remains a game-time decision.

Pleasantly surprised to see the box score this meaning! Gonna have to watch the highlights but how in the world did the Cavs only hold the Nuggets to 87 points?!
Don’t want to minimize the Cavs performance last night , but the Nuggets just really seemed off. Shot terrible and turned it over like crazy.
Yes. I’d frame it as “Cavs played gritty D and were effective enough on the whole to take advantage of a horrible shooting performance from their opponents”. The problem for Nuggs was their outside shooting from the get-go, so they tried to make up for it in the paint but ran into some tall timber with good hands.
Having watched this game, I like the Cavs chances against any team that isn’t shooting well from outside.
Yeah, it at least gives me hope that nights like that are even possible lol. I was bracing for every team to essentially set a franchise record from deep against the Sexland/Markkanen lineup.
Watching Youtube highlights – which yes don’t tell whole story – but Nuggets had that big run in 3rd quarter and things could have been dicey but Cavs held on then went nuts in 4th quarter to put it away – its way early but very impressive – also Allen is playing very well – worth the contract – low scoring but Cavs were efficient late in game – doing this on road very impressive – again see where team is at end of this year – they have talent to be in play in/playoff range that is evident already.… Read more »

I don’t mind dg going baseline but sometimes it doesn’t seem as though he has a plan when he goes under. Rubio pass where he basically just stood out of bounds. Picked up his dribble and threw a pass nearlyy picked off to allen after that.
