Good evening CtB!

The Cavs are back home and will host Central Division rival the Chicago Bulls in what is another game of the year for both squads. The Bulls are desperate for a win against a good team, they even load managed DeMar DeRozan to be ready for this contest. They’re in absolute free fall in the standings after vying for Eastern Conference supremacy. The Cavs find themselves in a somewhat similar situation, struggling to scrape together wins without their All-Star center Jarrett Allen. One of these teams will get a big win tonight, which one? Stay tuned!

Stats and Notes

Why have the Bulls struggled so much? They’ve been missing their two best perimeter defenders in Alex Caruso and Lonzo Ball, and only Caruso is back just recently from injury. Their defense has cratered and they’re struggling to find it on that end. The same can be said to a lesser extent for the Cavs.

As for the Bulls’ offense, they limit turnovers with their veteran guards DeRozan and Zach LaVine making good decisions, although they’re not the best passing team in the NBA. They are also a poor offensive rebounding team, so the Cavs should be able to keep second chance points to a minimum.

The Cavs need to find some juice off the bench. The bad games have outweighed the good, which is understandable given the injuries. But there’s no sympathy to given, they will have to find a way to make due with whom they have.

Tip off is scheduled for 8:00PM ET and will be broadcasted live on Bally Sports Ohio/Great Lakes, Go Cavs!
