I’m glad the wine and gold are on the road, cause I’m at a dive bar Up North, and you know the Pistons are on the Bally Sports Michigan. The Cavs are missing Mitchell and LeVert, so this will be a fun one when JB doesn’t play Sam Merrill out of spite. Marcus Sasser is out for Detroit. Go Cavs…
BUCKAROO I AM FORTUNATE TO HAVE AN UNCLE WHO HAS HAD A FINANCIAL FIRM / 50 YEARS/ HAS INVESTED OUR MONEY WISELY….. BITCOINS— NOPE———YES MY FRIEND WE WERE FORTUNATE TO GROW UP IN SIMPLER TIMES—- ALTHOUGH I BELIEVE EACH GENERATION HAS ITS OWN CHALLENGES— WE HAD VIET NAM / WAR PROTESTs / AMONGST OTHER THINGS—— WE MANAGED TO SURVIVE 👍🍺👍🍺🦾🦾
Mitchell is unlikely to play tonight per Woj.
IT IS CAITLYN CLARK TIME——— BUT HAVE TO STAY LOYAL—- GO BUCKEYES
NOMAD bro.. you watching bitcorn ? $61,000 per coin.. big bubble machine, or not.. i wasn’t in at 25 cents.. but i have been in as a hedge (a modest part of the portfolio.. are you watching the US debt numbers.. up some $10 trillion or so in last 15 years (and 3 trillion in last 3 yrs).. that is a real fantasy machine.. we are heading for very interesting and turbulent times.. you are lucky you are where you are my friend.. the world is certainly enjoyable to watch in our “golden”years.. rock on dude (both ways)
How real is this ridiculous Cleveland Cavaliers run? – ESPN
A good article here. Overindexes a little on rebounding being a big factor (think it is probably only a factor in a series against Knicks and maybe Magic), and some interesting comparisons to Boston a few years ago, where a new style unlocked a deep playoff run with Ime in 2022.
Shift in shot profile / system (a joint coaching/player effort) and improved rebounding (props to the players) noted favorably.
Did not mention rotations or depth, probably because of focus on playoffs.
Lakers to cut Windler, add Harry Giles III on Monday?
man is the same age as Strus. crazy how much luck can play into things
Ice injured?
Back “tightness’. Hard to see him suiting up against Knicks if true. Ouch.
JB fell ass backward into being forced to play Merrill yesterday. Seems like injuries are the only thing keeping our best shooter and plus/minus guy on the court….smh.
I’m feeling better about he and Garland potentially sharing the floor. He was really good and it’s great to have a good fifth and sixth guard like him and CPJ in case of injury (and / or need for roster flexibility).
TOM / STEAL GREAT POINTS ( BAROMETER) —- AS ALWAYS —APPRECIATE YOUR INPUTS 👍👍
Last night was our highest margin of victory over the Pistons all year. Credit the defense for a great close.
OUCH THIS WEEK s SCHEDULE IS BRUTAL—-WILL SETTLE WITH “Ws” AGAINST KNICKS/ HAWKS—- MIGHT “ SEMI- REST “ AGAINST THE CELTS TO BE FRESH FOR THE HAWKS———-THOUGHTs / OPINION s
That kind of stuff seems to not work out and have unintended impacts. May be a white flag, type of game with how Boston shoots 3s. But, with our lineup, I want to see how we stack up. We beat this team last year. I want the barometer. I want to see a playoff type of atmosphere week from our team and just really bring their a game. Also, would be great to see some coaching wrinkles since we’ve played these teams several times a piece this year.
Agree with Tom. Want to see the barometer and think we can lock in and take 3 or 4 of these. We only lost to them by 8 in Boston.
Bucks have a tough tough schedule this week too (home Clips, away Warriors, Lakers, Clips). If we get some separation this week I’ll feel great about the two seed.
Also think the road game at ATL is a good matchup for Merrill
ICE s STRONG OFFENSIVE IMPROVEMENT IS HUGE. OTHER TEAMS ACTUALLY HAVE TO GAURD HIM —- HIS PLAY THIS YEAR WILL GIVE HIM A NICE PAY RAISE—-/ CAVS HAVE TO FIND A WAY TO KEEP HIM
Nice problem to have! He got hurt after that game winner last year and he got played off the floor in the playoffs. Not sure if it was health related, not having that bounce for a guy relying on athletics as his primary reason for being on the floor is a bad thing, right? Would love to see a monster series or two out of him this year.
ARCH LMFAO 🤣—- THAT WAS GREAT 👍—— SO WAS LAST NIGHT 🤪🦾
Something to think about (watching Pacers / Pels)
We have weird / bad losses but virtually never get blown out (last loss by more than ten was December 21). Even Minny has eaten more big losses
Curious
Halliburton, everyone’s favorite, with 0 points and negative 40 plus-minus. Should have drafted Ice
One of the Cavs big strengths is they can keep a combo of two of their best players in the game at all times. They all play big minutes and JB rarely raises the white flag. Combine that with the fact they are a strong defensive team, it’s rare they get completely blown out.
All for giving credit where it is due, and I think that is a positive culture and coaching measure. During feb, heard some press about JB being in the coach of year discussion. That talk is always tempered by last years playoffs, where seeing Kevin love feature on the heat was particularly damning. I’ve seen a lot of growth this year and JB has changed some of his tendencies. Im hopeful for a better playoffs and I’m enjoying this season so far!
Loved seeing Garland turn the second quarter into his own personal 3-pt contest. Shoot it! Let ‘em know!
GOT A “ W “ —- DG CONFIDENCE BOSTER —-/ GOT A GLIMPSE OF SAM MY MAN / CPJ ——SECTION AL CHAMPS AND “ THE “ MRS NOMAD HAS THAT SMILE ON HER FACE …………… TIME TO GO “ THROW THE HAMMER DOWN “ 👍🦾🤪👺
I hope she doesn’t respond with GET THAT WEAK STUFF OUTTA HERE!
haha!
There is no doubt that the game flow on both ends is much better with one big on the floor. But, I understand the need to find/ make the starters figure it out. It is incredibly upsetting to have the rotation locked a certain way with a win in sight and all these shooters frozen out, referring to Bulls game. JB definitely is willing to sit on his closing lineups and let us take lumps and that’s tough to swallow, as a fan. Like, can we not squeeze 5-9 minutes in of Merrill and a few more for Wade? I… Read more »
Not really a “no juice” DG game.
I think I’m in on giving Merrill a first half few minutes at the top of the second in the regular season, let him bumslay a little if he can. The DG/Merrill/Strus lineups did well
Certainly, it was good tonight. But, without don and that’s the distinction, for me. I think what I am leaning towards is that don is your primary ball handler when he’s on the floor. Having dg is an amazing backup, naturally. But, at this point, I just can’t see the mesh that brings this to the next level without dg doing less as a ball handler in lineups he’s in don with.
Great game for process. DG shooting 3s, Mobley and JA whipping ass against beefy fours and fives, and good plays generating open shots in the fourth.
Crappy 4th quarter but it’s a W.
Great closing stretch defensively. Spectacular
Back up to 10
Cunnigham had no where to go
Crazy that DG is 1/9 from 2, but 8/11 from 3.
Absolutely atrocious decision by Ivey. He’s really dumb
Terrible foul by Ivey.
Ugh these turnovers 🤦♂️
Mobley holding up great against big bodies
DG icing it
Interesting offense for defense sub
Strike that reverse it
This is where Mitchell would really help!
Good process here just not hitting open 3s.
Get that weak stuff outta here!
