The Cavs welcome the Phoenix Suns to the shores of Lake Erie in a massive clash of championship hopefuls. Unfortunately for the Cavs, they are without a bunch of key players. They will have to do something akin to the Boston Celtics game a few nights ago. A Darius Garland 60-ball? Let’s speak it into existence… #talksoon

Lauri and the great contract are what got DM. If DM resigns, it was a great trade. If not, not so much.
BTW, Sexton was in the news this week for a “double ally oop”: he lobbed it to a guy who totally missed iron and then Sexton tipped it in. They are acting like it was on purpose.
For three years of All-NBA level play (and as asset, Mitchell and his Bird rights for an S+T) it’s worth it. Reserve judgment a bit to see what might come back for DM, but Late FRPS and non conveying swaps plus a great bench combo guard and a fringe allstar is fair value. I like Lauri as a complementary player a lot.
This is all true – but I do wonder if we would have preferred to have sent Mobley or Garland (or Allen?) instead of Lauri in hindsight. May depend on if and how Garland and Mobley continue to develop.
Yeah…issue is that it’ll take four-five years to write the book on both imo.
Allen Sexton Lauri and Mitchell are all a lot better (Sexton probably the least I don’t like him). Just an absolute win win
Mobley or Allen? Not a chance.
Garland was probably worth more than Lauri, but no one would take both Garland and Sexton. Getting rid of Sexton was a big plus.

I don’t see the Cavs separating their twin towers this summer, but I think Koby needs to find one or two big, physical players as backups for those guys to mix it up with the likes of Nurkic.

JA is easily the second best player on the team, and EM is hopefully (slowly) turning into a superstar. they ain’t going anywhere. need a hard rock for a third big.
As for the rest of the gang? IO has finally started getting good and we gotta keep him.
Also bring back Lauri to spread the floor.
You’d have to package Wade, Vert and probably a pick to get a strong third big to spread the floor.

A loss, but much more fun in the arena than the Nets game. Gotta run much more action at the end when ball in DG’s hands. He was tremendous, esp in first half, but he can’t score all the pts.
For me, 1-2 on this trip home to the 216. My regular season there is done. Had the misfortune of also catching the first three home games (ugh), overall 2-5 in CLE and (thankfully) 2-0 in DC. I did get to see my name in the fine print of the letter “M” in “LET ‘EM KNOW”.
What do you mean in your last sentence – I’m not following?
On the court is printed “Let ‘Em Know”. Longtime ticket plan holders names appear in that lettering. My name appears in the M in that graphic.
