making room for those Modelos in the fridge right now
Also the Pacers’ 4th quarter defense was tremendous. Mathurin had a spectacular block of Jalen Williams dunk attempt, and on another play he perfectly defended SGA to the point that Shai almost airballed his jumper and the refs ignored his foul baiting. Pacers have now pulled off a spectacular late comeback in every round. It can’t be a coincidence at this point.
Mathurin is gonna be a star next year if he keeps his head on straight… destroyed us and honestly Carlisle should trust him more.
As they say, “coincidence takes a LOT of planning”.
Pacers second half I think exemplifies the “physical play” many are hoping the Cavs can manage better in the future. It’s not about cheap-shotting opponents, but being able to adjust to defense that the refs will allow to be more handsy and pushy than in the regular season. Pacers did that, showing “physical toughness;” and, they didn’t let a ridiculous amount of turnovers in the 1st half discourage them from making the adjustment, showing “mental toughness.” One thing they appeared to adapt to more quickly than the T-Wolves last round is not over-dribbling in place and allowing the Thunder to… Read more »
yeah you’re exactly correct, the people who disagree it’s just willfull misinterpretation by the dumbest people alive
They had a lot of practice last year against hospital teams. Their D was atrocious for a season, they got smacked and learned. We have similar high IQ players who are now (rightly) embarrassed.
Cavs have the personnel to do pressure concepts and the wing size to be disruptive and force turnovers and play fast on both ends, not just offense.
it would be fun to read what the Uncle Buck types of the OKC fan base are saying today.
Wow, the internet today was quite something.
enjoying the reality show Simmo?? LMFAOOO
“interesting times” indeed, you can’t make this stuff up!
Indeed, that was part of it. Also referring to Game 1 which I also watch via the internet. Hard to focus on the game when yr phone is blowing up with politicalamity.
I watched the middle two quarters and had to run. anyone have a review of Q4?
Indy made shots, including an insane banked 3 by Turner. OKC’s offense, which was never all that good, completely fell apart.
Indy really does seem to catch teams off guard and wear them down in G1.
oh, and having a second good healthy ballhandling guard really helped Indy. OKC had the clamps on Haliburton and Nembhard was really good in the clutch (minus a clutch airball that Siakam immediately stuck back, lol).
but one game is just one game, and both teams had a centerless lineup late? weird like every Indy game is weird — RC throws out tons of lineups and gives guys rope. Obi was horrific until he wasn’t. Kenny seems to have that same faith in guys.
👍🍺👍🍺👍🍺…….. “ MORE BEER 🍺 PLEASE RAOUL “
OK —RAOUL —I POSTED EARLIER- OKC IN 6 ——6 PACK OF MODELO RIDING ON THIS??
sure — I think I dislike OKCT more than IP
the self appointed experts are mostly picking OKC in five or so. I’m going to pick Pacers to be a contrarian, and Indianapolis is further from saltwater than OKC.
