2025-11-17Happy Monday, Cavs fans. The wine and gold host the Bucks tonight. Former Cavs Kevin Porter Jr. and Taurean Prince are out, and Giannis is a game time decision. For the Cavs, Tyson remains in concussion protocol, and Garland’s great toe remains not so great. Max Strus remains weeks away as well.
The Bucks have been struggling lately, coming off losses to the Lakers Hornets sans the Greek Freak, but Ryan Rollins has been a pleasant surprise for them, averaging 17 in 31 minutes this season. I predict a Cavs win behind the irrepressible energy of Nae’Qwan Tomlin who’s been nothing short of a supercharger for Cleveland. Go Cavs.

After the Cavs have soft tissue injured Morant and then Yannis, maybe the Rockets need to be extra cautious. Looking at you KD. Home team only needs about one qtr to inflict the pain (softly).
This is ironic: per the NYT, the Cavs were fined $100k for holding out two stars (DM and EM) in the second Heat game last week. The NBA policy presumably aims to constrain load management and promote better competition (for the fans). That was the most probably the most entertaining Cavs game so far.
Mixed emotions on this. Took my family to see the Cavs at home a decade back. Load management tactics meant that Lebron did not play. Yes, he could have been injured – but he wasn’t. I get the why – it just meant the night was pretty lame for us (didn’t help that the Cavs played uncompetitive hero ball and lost badly).

Understood. I wore my maroon/gold city edition last night and will go w classic LeBron tomorrow. Will be interesting to see how popular creamsicle is over course of the season. Maroon/gold did not sell well while sky blue was very popular.

As noted below, EM had tough game, getting muscled, out thought etc. DM made a point of getting him some dunks late which hopefully gets him on track. I thought energy level was increased, though early on MIL making all their 3’s and getting easy paint pts. But increased team flow w nice energy contributions from NQT (12 min), TB (7 min), and CPJ (20 min) closed the gap and allowed DM to drive us home in second half. The maroon (wine), gold, and creamsicles are definitely my favorites. Some of the whites and a blue or two are also pretty sharp.
