2025-11-21Friday before Thanksgiving week, and I couldn’t be more relieved to be heading back to Northeast Ohio for feasting. The good guys battle the 2-13 Pacers who are without some dudes.
Meanwhile, the Cavs are nursing their own injuries.
Let’s hope that the Cavs win cause Eli is talking about blowing up the team if they don’t. The Cavs are sandbagging though like last year’s Pacers though, so we good regardless. Happy weekend, peeps.

Since the trade deadline, you basically have this:
Out: LeVert, Niang, Jerome, Okoro
In: Hunter, Ball, Nance.
With Tyson stepping into a rotational role.
Hunter and Ball are a big step up. Nance, so far not so much.
love Nance, but if a roster crunch materializes, he is the odd man out. NyQuil is what we hoped Nance would be.
Both LeVert & Jerome could create when DG & Mitchell were out.
Ball can, but not for himself. As he’s not a threat. He plays better with better players around him. He struggles with poor offensive guys around him,,as most guys do.

Ok so I am wildly depressed about the state of the cavs. To win a title this year they probably need Mobley to at least approach his potential…and garland to go full on Kyrie level offense. The soft label I thought would be helped by LNJ and more mins for Lonzo Ball has not gone away. In fact ..we may have spent money on LNJ when Tomlin was already the solution…and missed out on adding a larger sf instead of LNJ.
Can I get excited again or is my depression warranted? I hate the 24 hour news cycle.

Agree with your concerns. Let’s give Kenny a full season at the helm, and fingers crossed for player health.
those are valid concerns — the Cavs are not odds on favorites to win it all this year.
However, the Cavs are in the “top few” most likely to go all the way. usually half or more of the contenders will be stymied by major injuries come playoff time. if the Cavs are healthy and playing well, they will have a real good shot. as a fan, that is all you can hope for, and pretty good.
I think your concerns are warranted. We do look soft. And disjointed. LNJ has not been good. Ball has been laying bricks. We have not beaten a real good team yet. And Movley hardly looks like he’s taken a leap.
On the flip side, DG has hardly played. Strus hasn’t. Allen broke his finger. Merrill has missed a lot. Ball does not play B2Bs.
We are still 10-5. Merrill has been better than expected. Tyson looks a real contributor. And tge end of bench guys have at least flashed once or twice: Bryant, CPJ, Proctor, Tomlin.
We are a long way from OKC, but so is everyone else. The Rockets beat us easily. We are a Tier 3 team atm. But it hasn’t all been bad.
Tomlin upping his game is a big bonus for the Cavs, but before the season started it was not obvious that it would happen. Pretty sure Nance is on a min vet contract, so he might not make it through the season.
Yet to catch replay. Was there any hint DG would play? Thought we were all told he was a long way off.
