Six months after Jones Fracture surgery, Max is slated to play this afternoon, covering for a bevy of Cavaliers who are out, including Jaylon Tyson, Jarrett Allen, Sam Merrill, Craig Porter Jr., and Tyrese Proctor. Meanwhile the Mavs will be without Klay Thompson and Daniel Gafford. (Kyrie and Derrick Lovely are already out for the year.) Expect Mobley to dominate inside and Spida to try to put it away early. Just hope Cleveland doesn’t play down to their competition.

I don’t think Sarr is eligible but I like him. I’d probably also use the 26 FRP on a big (Kalkbrenner has been good for Charlotte and he was like a 32nd pick or so).
We have enough, assuming Harden’s financial situation is to his satisfaction at training camp, to get to 60 wins next year, same as in 24-25.

Harden and Mitchell have to be healthy and play better, and that involves defensive effort and commitment to efficiency from tip. People were so hype for the Garland era to be over, but now they are just scapegoating Evan instead. Weird, weird stuff. Harden needs to play like his resume in the regular season and better in the playoffs. Same with Mitchell. Do that, and you have enough. we’re playing like jerks at present. we’ve generally cleaned it up by the first round (I think our last first round home games were all double digits wins?). we lost the last two years because of health, mostly, which was bad luck. there’s nothing about our play in March either year that would have kept Mitchell, Mobley, Hunter, Allen, and Garland from their injuries, and no one has enough to sustain those kind of injuries and make a deep playoff run. i don’t expect the team to make the Finals without a top 5 player, that is as historically unlikely… Read more »

Part of this discussion is that Allen has been the Cavs’ second best player this season and it hasn’t been close. They’re really missing him. They also should be playing Nance and Tomlin more for rebounding.
Harden showed why I didn’t want to trade for him: he was fat, old, and lazy in this one.
Nance hasn’t made five positive plays this season. Tbh I’d rather play Sarr.
Allen is so essential to us having a balanced team.
