The Cavs have traversed to the banks of the Trinity River to take on the Dallas Mavericks in a primetime nationally televised showcase. The good guys are licking their wounds after two losses against some of the Eastern Conference’s elite and will be looking to right the ship. The Mavs are stealth tanking to the end of the season while getting Rookie of the Year candidate Cooper Flagg some first option reps. Let’s see if the Cavs can take care of business…
Tip off is scheduled for 7:30PM Eastern time and will broadcasted live nationally on Amazon Prime, go Cavs!

Next few games are against bread loaves. Would be nice to see Allen and Merrill back but get why they don’t rush.

Wade and Ellis have been shooting great on a percentage basis. I’m wondering if teams will guard Ellis or leave him in the playoffs.
We’re not playing particularly well, but we’ve been finding ways to win. Core 4 plus Tyson/Merrill/Strus/Ellis/Wade is going to be a lot to deal with. Wish we had a chance for a signature win in the next 15.
I totally do not buy the theory of “signature win”, and never have. no point in wasting energy and possible new stuff on a game that means no more than any other. save it for the playoffs when you need it.

5-5 in the tough ten was disappointing. Injuries a factor, but still should have won at OKC, at Det, and at Orl.
Catching Detroit ain’t happening. Still only 1 game (effectively 2) behind the Knicks.
Catching the Cs is gonna be tough. Will have to nearly win out to do it. Effectively down 4 in the L column.
I’d like at 14-2 close, min. 1-0 start.
I see the Cavs and Celts as the two best teams in the EC, so I would rather be at 4 than at 3 — put off playing the Celts. getting to 2 might be good — have home court against the Celts.
