Preseason Live Thread: Cavs @ Pistons (in Lansing)

The Cavs travel to Lansing tonight. Sorry, the Cavs travel to East Lansing (which any Spartan will tell you is not Lansing), to play the Pistons in the Jack Breslin Student Events Center on the campus of Dan Gilbert’s Alma Mater, Michigan State University. The Cavs will be missing Larry Nance, who sprained his ankle and Isiah Taylor who has a stress fracture. The Pistons will start their regular season guys of Jackson, Bullock, Johnson, Griffin and Drummond. No word on how long the starters play tonight, but expect Colson and Holland to try to battle it out for the last roster spot or two/way contract. As always, Go Cavs.
Remember when wide open corner threes were automatic for George Hill?

I know this may be unpopular opinion around here, but I hope Lebron wins the MVP this season. Probably his last, best chance to join Russell and Jordan at 5.
He should have the stats for it…

I love dwayne casey as the pistons coach. They will be a top 5 seed this year.

but even with reggie jackson, casey is a solid regular season coach. They may not make it to round 2 but they’ll make the playoffs comfortably
I don’t see them being better than Bos, Philly, Tor, Indy or Milwaukee… somewhere in the 6-8 range would be my guess…
milwaukee?!? they are 6-8 seed material every year and they will continue to be. They won’t stick with a coach, giannis won’t play to his strengths while helping anyone else, and they don’t play defense.
