Live Thread: Cavs vs Bulls

Bounjour! It’s been a quiet around here, other than a Cavs’ convincing win over the Nets in Paris that started at two in the afternoon (EST). But that sweet victory was sandwiched inside a week of travel. The Cavs haven’t had a U. S. game in eight days as they return to the RMF to host the Bulls tonight.

For Chicago, Torrey Craig and Julian Phillips are out, while Patrick Williams is questionable. The 19-22 Bulls are 5-5 in their last ten and absolutely look like the league’s biggest water treaders. They have a team of solid role players, and no stars, and not a ton of shooting.the Cavs beat them before Christmas and will beat them again tonight.

For Cleveland, another grind out victory would be ideql. Evan Mobley, Darius Garland, and Ty Jerome remain out, Isaiah Mobley is with the Charge, and despite knee soreness that limited him to seven minutes in Paris, Max Strus is expected to start tonight.

The DG-less and Evan-less Cavs have played very well in their absence, going 9-3 since the mid-December bad news. Jarrett Allen has been putting up 19/13/4 averages with 2.4 stocks in that stretch: DPOY numbers. The team’s shooting volume and rebounding have been the keys to beating not just scrub teams, but also to notching quality wins against Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, and Brooklyn. This is a winnable game on the front end of a difficult week, with three of their next five against the Bucks. Let’s hope the good guys take care of business.
