Live Thread: Cavs vs Magic

The Cavs recently escaped a painful 3 game losing streak, ending with demoralizing losses to the Spurs and Bulls. Tonight’s game against the magic would signify a 3 game win streak, and perhaps a changing of fortunes. With the much anticipated return of Threezus and Lebron’s continuing ascension into playoff form this game should be a thriller. The Cavs are gunning to take the season series to 3-0 while silencing critics who have been questioning the teams chemistry and sense of direction. The Magic are expected to be at full health with only Jeff Green being questionable, The Cavs are also fully healthy. With everyone on the floor, I expect the Cavs’ goal will be a showing of strength.
Will the Cavs give the day off to LeBron or will they try to put the annoying Celtics on their place?

I think they play but in chill mode. They don’t care about the number 1 seed.

Nice win in a lot of ways. Love had 28 & could have had 35+ if he could make a layup. JR had a good night. Korver’s return helped, nice to see him have a little run. 30 dimes, most in the 2nd half. Much better defense.

Lol, you haven’t been watching the same Lebron I have. He’s a different player on fewer minutes. He explodes and makes better decisions and plays defense. On little rest he picks and chooses when to care.
We all call him out on it. But he’s kind of earned at this point. He’ll be ready for the playoffs. The rest of the team I worry about.

It’d be nice if Lue had reason to believe players not named Lebron could hold a 17 point lead with six minutes left since Lebron’s at 37 minutes.

Here is what troubles me. They put together a good quarter, get a lead, and its like the lessons of the previous 70 games disappear and they get lazy again. Shouldn’t they put together four solid quarters just to see if they can do it? Because that switch is stuck more than it works.

As soon as the Cavs get into a nice scoring rally the defense revs up. Can’t let the offense dictate the defense. They need to fix that going into the playoffs. Got to be consistent on defense.
