Two nights after a loss to the Detroit Pistons that was as ugly as their win over the Oklahoma City Thunder was impressive, the Cleveland Cavaliers welcome the Charlotte Hornets t town. There’s a pretty good chance that LeBron and the gang come in highly motivated for this one. Besides wanting to get back on the right track after Monday night’s debacle, the Cavs will also be looking to avenge a February loss to the Hornets in Charlotte.

Look Cavaliers to be aggressive early on defense after an extremely sluggish effort against the Pistons on Monday. Slowing down Kemba Walker and Jeremy Lin will be essential for the Cavs as they have struggled to contain both in the past. Unfortunately, they will continue to be without the services of Iman Shumpert, who remains on the sidelines with a strained shoulder. Mo Williams is available after missing the last two games with Chondromalacia, but somehow I’m skeptical he’ll help much with defense.

Another thing to keep an eye on is the impact Courtney Lee and Channing Frye have for the Hornets and Cavaliers, respectively. Both men are obviously role players for their teams, but with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist out for the season, the Hornets will need much more from Lee than the Cavaliers will from Frye.

Be sure to turn in tonight at 7:00 on Fox Sports Ohio as the Cavaliers try to get back to their winning ways, and be sure to share your thoughts here at Cavs: The Blog!
