Live Thread : Cavs @ Knicks

The Cavs continue their road trip tonight as they take on the Knicks who are 4-1 in their last five games. Kristaps Porzingis is currently playing like an MVP candidate and it will be interesting to see how the Cavs defend him. Their rebounding woes were very apparent against the Rockets and tonight Lebron’s nemesis Joakim Noah is making his season debut after serving a 20 game suspension for PED use. The Knicks embarrassed Cleveland earlier this year crushing the Cavs 114-95 with Porzingis scoring 32. Although this isn’t a nationally televised game, the Cavs should be able to get up for this one with Noah returning and realizing the Knicks are no longer a cake walk.
Frank Ntilikina will also be one to watch as he has been playing great defense since getting his footing early in the season. He also may be playing with a chip on his shoulder after Lebron trolled Phil Jackson saying Dennis Smith Jr. should be a Knick. In an ideal world, this seems to be a match up that Ante Zizic would get some burn as the Knicks do not have dynamic PGs to blow by him on the PnR and they could use his fouls and energy to deal with the Knicks front court. I also wouldn’t mind seeing some euro on euro action with Cedi going against Ntilikina, preferably with the Cavs up 20 in the 4th and Lebron resting. This seems unlikely, I expect a close game with Lebron relishing the moment of returning to MSG and playing against Noah. Cavs win 111-107.

My fav AB event is when he hit a HR and the other team demanded the umps check the bat. He came out of the dugout and flexed his bicep.
There does not seem to be any film of when he chased some teenagers in a SUV.
I read somewhere that now he spends most of his time playing online chess at a moderately good level.
Maybe the Fernando Vina leveling. I don’t see that as a controversy though. Maybe that wasn’t the game in the 90s when Belle played but it was the game back in the 70s. Though I suppose if you ask Ray Fosse about Pete Rose giving him permanent shoulder damage from all star game you might hear a different opinion. Gotta get a shot at overrated in when talking about collisions. Sorry, but not really.
I live in Southern Ohio, so I get lots of chances to p!ss of Reds fans by bad rapping Pete Rose, who I consider a pretty good ball player, but an utter dirtball. One fave is asking how Pete’s best year compares to Albert’s best year.

One thing we can all agree on is that the season did not get off to a smooth start for the Cavs. But I think it has been a lot of fun, and am not buying into the panic at all.
My guess is that the GSW have about an 80% chance of winning it all, but the Cavs have about an 80% chance of being the other team in the finals.
These first 14 games have not been my idea of fun…

So my buddy and I were debating what LeBron was supposed to do when Kanter was in his face giving him the tabouli breath. Not sure how he could get Kanter out of his face without escalating other than turning his back on him. My answer would have been to sneakily reach up and honk Enes’ giant schnaz. The reaction would’ve gotten Kanter tossed.
