The Cavs welcome the Washington Wizards to the frozen, windy banks of the Cuyahoga River as they face off in an Eastern Conference showdown. The Wizards are engaged in a simultaneous tank job as well as a pump and dump of tradeable assets. For the Cavs, this is a must-win game to stay atop the East as well as an indicator of the professionalism this young team has. The last two contests against the Wizards, the Cavs won by over 20 points. This is a game where if they’re locked in, the starters aren’t playing in the 4th. But this is the NBA, if you don’t respect your opponent, you’ll find yourself in a needless struggle. Let’s see how the Cavs take care of business…

Allen seemed to be playing with more sustained energy at both ends of the floor this game compared to the previous handful. That was a welcome sight. Of course with Mobley out he knew he’d have a bigger load.
A week off will do that for you.
Sorry I’ve been so out of the loop. Hell week at work. I never really had any doubts about last night’s game, and against Valanciunas, TT was fine. The lack of reps for Thor is a little crazy cause it feels like he’s been good whenever I’ve watched him play, and literally every healthy guy on the roster has gotten at least a taste of rotation minutes (even Travers). Yeah I’ve wondered what keeps Thor from getting a look when Wade was out and now with Mobley out. Physically he fits the prototype and he can definitely shoot it.

Travers unavailable apparently. The only bench DNPs were Thor and Tyson. A rotation of 10, but yeah maybe coach thought TT could help against Valanciunas – because he was unlikely to help against the younger Wiz kids.
That was ugly. Champagnie was killing us from 3! Okoro was the only one (it feels like) hitting 3s with any consistency.
