2026-03-09Happy Garfield day, Cavs fans. After laying an egg against Boston on national TV, Sunday, Cleveland looks to bounce back against a 6ers team leaning heavily into the injury report. Edgecombe, Maxey, and Embiid are out while Cleveland is without Proctor, Allen, and Strus. It’s a revenge game of sorts for James Harden who played like a statue on defense Sunday, so we’ll see if his shitgiver is functional. Cavs by 10. Have a lasagna.
Cavs 5-4 on the “tough ten” so far. Injuries a factor in the last 3, for sure. But the OKC loss & Detroit choke were particularly disappointing. As was the egg laid vs Boston at home.
Still, Strus and Allen are nearing returns. Both Harden & Ellis have been playing OK with the finger issues.
And we are still within 1 or tied with everyone not named OKC, SA, Det, or Boston. 3 & 7 back of Bos & Det in the L column with 17 left. Functionally 4 for Bos.

Anyone been keeping up with Ty Jerome? Since being activated, his points per minutes played is out of this world. Stuffs the stat sheet night after night. Each time I’ve seen him play, he’s been the best player on the court.

I think Sam fits in well with the starters. meanwhile, Tyson is a better all around player, might be nice to always have him in when some of the starters aren’t.
I don’t love Sam at SF at all.
you gotta view it in terms of the guys on the team, and the core four has too much firepower for the other team to pay much attention to Sam, which is great.
nice that all of the core four is getting a week or two off before the last month. be nice if some or all get another couple game break

yeah on both accounts. get Nyquil in for the rest of the game.
most of our non-starter rotation are “pretty good most games”. but they all had a bad day against Boston — hard to say how much of that was bad luck, and how much was Boston being a getter team. Sam is now having two bad games in a row, hope that doesn’t last. the Cavs won’t lose many “Sam 6/8 on threes” games.
