Live Thread: Knicks @ Cavs
2026-11-07Good evening CtB!
The Cavs welcome reigning NBA champion New York Knicks to the banks of the Cuyahoga for a primetime Eastern Conference national TV showdown. The Cavs took down one of the best in the NBA last night, defeating the Philadelphia 76ers 119-95. It was perhaps the Cavs’ best played game so far this season. Tonight appears to be a schedule loss however, with several Cavs out with injury including Jaylon Tyson, Jarrett Allen, and Sam Merrill. Tonight will simply be about whether they want to compete for a full 48. Pulling off the win would be a minor coup as the Knicks are favored in this one.
Tip off is scheduled for 8PM Eastern time and will broadcasted live nationally on NBATV, GO CAVS!
Shot sub 60% from the FT line and got killed on the boards, Harden, Proctor and Bryant terrible on the defensive end.
BUMSON TRAVELED REF WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU LOOKING AT????????

Good fight tonight, zero offense and one bad quarter of defense. not sure if they can dig themselves out of that 2nd quarter hole.
DM trying to will them to win, but he needs someone to come with.
yup, at least he’s keeping up the fight
KAT dominating tonight, unfortunately.
This is a game where JA is missed most.
Oof, bad breakdown on D.
How’s Mario playing? Box score gives little away…
Not getting much time, surprisingly.
Nice disappearing act tonight, Mobley. Thanks for showing up.
Thomas Bryant for prison. Can’t catch, handle, rebound, screen, anything.
Nice to see something from Minix but between the missed FTs and defensive rebounding and TOs we don’t have enough margin for error unless Mitchell or Harden go off.
Do we think that Evan is ever going to take that leap offensively? I dunno.
What’s wrong with how he’s playing?
It was a hot take after an awkward turnaround jumper miss.
Why are Mitchell and Mobley sitting at same time? Please no.
Ahead after one quarter. Life is good
Offense shitty, defense good so far.

Back at the Q for tonight’s contest. Plenty of Knicks jerseys in the crowd. Got to enjoy Mark Price and Larry Nance extol the virtues of old school hoops pregame. Hopefully not painful throughout tonight.
Also celebrating 10th anniversary of The Championship.
